Bentley Continental GT3 V8 twin-turbo

Last year at the Paris Motor Show, the Bentley Continental GT3 concept was one of the biggest surprises. Since then, the carmaker has decided to offer us some more information on the production version of the model which according to the carmaker will enter competition a bit later this year. The model is set to explore the extreme potential of the iconic Grand Tourer and exploit the performance DNA contained within every Bentley. The race version of the Continental has been taking shape over the last six months thanks to the guidance received from different experts from M-Sport Ltd1. Bentley Director of Motorsport declared that Motorsport is an  integral part of Bentley and the performance and endurance qualities of all of our cars reflect this racing heritage. In the end, the specialists have obtained a car that can compete with the field in terms of factors such as power, weight and aerodynamics. Under the hood, the model hides a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and to transfer all the output to the road, the specialists have offered a 6-speed sequential racing transmission.

The model also features double wishbone suspension, 4-way adjustable dampers and competition brakes make up the chassis system. The trimmed Continental GT doors have been replaced by race versions, weighing only 12 % of the originals. Also these together with the boot lid and bonnet are now hand-crafted in carbon fiber. The carbon fiber racing seat has been trimmed by the craftsmen and women of the Crewe factory, who have meticulously stitched the racing steering wheel and door pulls, just like on the Continental GT road car. These are all the details for now. More will be released soon.
