Bentley Continental GT Speed

It seems that Bentley Continental GT Speed will have its first official public display at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed. This model is actually the fastest production model ever being capable of reaching a top speed of 205 mph. The ones interested in agile handling, high-performance, distinctive design and sporting luxury, will be amazed for sure. The carmaker already started taking orders, but deliveries will only begin in October 2012. The Bentley Continental GT Speed coupe hides under the hood a 6.0-liter 48-valve, 4-cam, Twin-turbocharged W12 engine that is capable of producing 625 PS and 800 Nm of torque. This amount of power enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. All output is then being sent to the wheels through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. This delivers quick yet imperceptible gear changes through intelligent adaptive control software to ensure the perfect combination of refinement and speed. This is not all it does. No, the transmission also improves the fuel economy and the CO2 emission level.

The chassis is completed by special 21-inch Speed wheels that are available in two lustrous finishes and covered in ultra-high performance 275 35 R21 Pirelli PZero tires. After installing all these, the result is a Bentley capable of improved driving experience with better handling and better agility. Even if is now capable of more comfort, the new GT Speed coupe does not make any compromise in comfort and refinement. The permanent all-wheel drive system employs a central Torsen differential and ensures high levels of grip and stability no matter the weather conditions or the quality of the road. Guy Smith and Derek Bell will be the pilots of the model at the upcoming festival.
