ACS4 2.8i Coupe by Ac Schnitzer

The Essen Motor Show has just opened its gates. Here you can find everything you need to equip your car with new parts and accessories. Tuners find rims, exhaust pipes, paint and films. Motor sport fans can meet their idols in the pit lane in hall 6. They will also get the associated equipment, racing car, suit and helmet too. If you are just in search of a posh new car, have a look among the major car manufacturers who are increasingly presenting their sports series cars at the EMS. Among the tuners that are exhibiting there AC Schnitzer is in the spotlights. Their ACS4 2.8i Coupe based on the BMW 428i Coupe is this year’s TUNE IT! SAFE! car.

The TUNE IT! SAFE! contest is supported by the Police and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Construction and Road Development, so with all the help, the Association of German Vehicle Tuners (VDAT) has just introduced the 2014 concept car in form of the ACS4 2.8i Coupe. AC Schnitzer upgraded the BMW 428i Coupe to produce 294 HP (216 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) from the 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo engine which in the standard version outputs 245 HP (180 kW) and 345 Nm (255 lb-ft). The coupe can sprint the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds and 50-112 mph (80-180 km/h) in 12.7 seconds, before reaching an electronically-limited speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

AC Schnitzer can’t stop just at upgrading the engine. It also placed on the car a new set of 21 inch alloy wheels wrapped in Hankook 245/30 ZR 21 Ventus S1evo rubbers. The vehicle is also brought closer to ground by 25mm) with the help of a race-spec suspension and gets an aerodynamic kit including new front and rear spoilers, rear diffuser and a rear roof spoiler, too. The AC Schnitzer print is set on the inside, too, where we can notice aluminum pedals and foot rest, a "Black Line" handbrake handle, velour floor mats and a new key holder.
