BMW 116i Fashionista

BMW is one of those names in the auto field that are keen on becoming global brands. And once they get into a market they do even the impossible to stay there and to attract as many clients as possible. And we have to admit that Japan is one of the most successful markets nowadays, defeating the economical crisis. So, why not hit it with another BMW 116i Fashionista Special Edition?

If you are a cars news lover, you should remember that the Bavarian company has already introduced a first special edition of the BMW 116i Fashionista back in February 2013. The Japanese received 370 units of the limited edition. Well, it seems that success was higher than expected so the BMW officials decided to extend with a second round of the same edition. It will be a bit improved, though and it will come out in a number of 490 units. The vehicles will be powered by the same 1.6 liter turbocharged engine producing 136PS (134bhp). This works together with an 8-speed automatic intact gearbox.

The second edition of the BMW 116i Fashionista is available in four paint schemes. We have the Arupin White III, the Crimson Red, the Deep Sea Blue (metallic) and the Mineral White (metallic), all being styled with a Dakota leather interior in an oyster shade. Some chrome inserts also make room on the vehicle. The car rides on a set of 17inch alloy wheels wrapped in 205/50 R17 rubbers. The air- conditioning system is something compulsory. Worth mentioning is the rear view parking camera and the Driving Assist package, too. The whole package costs ¥ 3,660,000. This is the equivalent for $36,000 / €27,400. So let’s see if this second edition will have the same success as the first one.
