BMW M5 Nighthawk Limited Edition

After Mercedes Benz has just stroke Japan with their Mercedes-Benz B180 Northern Lights Black Edition, it is BMW’s turn to take some attitude and to become big in Japan. These two brands tend to become universal being present in a great number of auto markets worldwide. It looks like Japan is offering them a favourable environment to develop their business. So, following Mercedes, BMW has just introduced the BMW M5 Nighthawk limited edition in Japan.

The BMW M5 Nighthawk limited edition comes all covered up in Frozen Black paint. What distinguishes the vehicle from the others is the dark chrome grille, the adaptive LED headlights and the matte black 20 inch alloy wheels it rides on. For the inside the German manufacturer has kept the same black theme, combining it with red accessories. The elegant interior is equipped with Merino leather seats, carbon fiber trim and an individually numbed badge.

The BMW M5 Nighthawk needs to be something special when it comes to road force, too. That’s why the Competition Package adds some extra sportiness to the car. This consists of a sports exhaust system, a sport suspension, a nice steering wheel and an M Dynamic Mode. The car is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that generates 575 HP (423 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. This is linked to a seven-speed M DCT transmission which allows the model to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. The edition is limited to only 10 units and the price begins at ¥18,200,000 ($181,800 / £121,740 / €141,470).
