BMW M6 Cabrio by BBM Motorsports

BMW branded cars are probably one of the most wanted vehicles by the tuning companies. There are an overwhelming number of tuning programs developed for BMW cars and many tuning firms are devoted to the brand. In order to face competition in the tuning segment you have to be one of the best. BBM Motorsport, a tuning company from Germany, tries to come out with new things to consolidate the position in the field. The latest project coming from BBM is based on the BMW M6 Cabrio.

BBM Motorsport thought that upgrading the BMW M6 Cabrio’s engine could be the strong point in their tuning package. So they played some tricks so that the V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine becomes more powerful than the 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft). The tuner updated the engine's software and installed a complete Akrapovic exhaust system with carbon end pipes to help the engine.

The V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine that powers the BMW M6 Cabrio can generate 705 HP (518 kW) and 864 Nm (636 lb-ft) of torque. This means that power has been increased by 145 HP (107 kW) and 184 Nm (136 lb-ft). The same power increase can be done by the tuner on the BMW M models, the M5, X5M, X6M. The BMW got a sportier look once BBM installed a KW suspension kit that brings the car closer to the ground. The vehicle also gets new alloys. It now sits on 21 inch Breyton Spirit R alloy wheels.  To have a complete picture, the vehicle receives a matte steel blue body wrapping with gunpowder accents. This final touch was possible with a little help from SFT Carwrap. The upgraded vehicle is exhibited at the Essen Motor Show.
