BMW M6 Gran Coupe MotoGP Safety Car

This year at the 2013 MotoGP World Championship German carmaker BMW will arrive with its M model. Actually the company has been involved in MotoGP starting 1999 and has been providing Safety Cars. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe was revealed for the first time at the New York International Auto Show in Detroit. The model is manages to combine incredible performance with interesting aesthetics and luxurious elegance. Under the hood it hides the M TwinPower Turbo technology that enables the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds with the 560 horsepower output. Overall, the fleet of official MotoGP cars for the 2013 season includes 5 BMW M and M Performance models. Besides the M6 Gran Coupe, in action as Safety Cars will also be the BMW M6 Coupe and the BMW M5.


The involvement of the BMW M in MotoGP is not solely restricted to the Safety Car fleet, but it also includes a lot of sales and marketing campaigns within the Grand Prix environment. The ones visiting the show will receive several details on the Grand Prix riders and teams. There is a VIP sales programme prepared and so guests will spend the race weekend in the special VIP village. They will also win insights into what goes behind the scenes of the Motorcycle World Championship. The M Award will also celebrate an anniversary now in 2013. The ones who receive an exclusive BMW M car for their efforts are Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Nicky Hayden and Jorge Lorenzo.
