Cadillac has made an official announce that its latest creation, 2014 Cadillac CTS will have its debut at the New York Auto Show this week. As the event is knocking on the door, the Americans decided to make public an entire photo gallery staring their new vehicle.
The new 2014 Cadillac CTS has a more aggressive design than the actual version. The design is labeled Art& Science and with the use of some LED lights the car gets a more elegant look. The inside of the Cadillac resembles the ones of the XTS and ATS, possessing a large touch screen display, belonging to the CUE infotainment system. It also has a digital display that behaves as the instrument cluster.
Regarding the engine, there are three variants available. The first one consists of a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine producing 420 bhp (313 kW) and 430 lb-ft (583 Nm) of torque. If the Cadillac CTS is equipped with the new eight-speed automatic transmission, it will need about 4.6s to go to 60 mph (96 km/h), and it will reach a maximum speed of 170 mph (274 km/h). The second one is a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 that can generate 321 bhp (239 kW) and the third one is the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo producing 272 bhp (203 kW). Cadillac is also thinking of a more powerful CTS-V with a V8 engine.
