Apparently at the Geneva Motor Show a lot of carmaker will present their latest achievements. One of them is Carlsson which will introduce for the first time the new Carlsson SLK 350. We are talking about a unique race car that was developed using advanced construction techniques. The ones in charge of the projects want to continue the sporting successes of the 190 EVO with the powerhouse and blow away the international competition. The new model manages to attract attention with an abundance of changes.

So that you know, the new Mercedes SLK 350 was built from scratch and it also received a power boost. The specialists have used only good materials and it weighs only 780 kg on the scale. To obtain this result, Carlsson offered an ultra lightweight body kit made of carbon. All aerodynamic components have been tested several times, even in a wind tunnel. Why? The specialists have tried to connect its incredible look with a perfect down force. To optimize the air resistance of the hill climb race car the engineers have used a closed underbody. Despite the fact the model received very big changes the Carlsson SLK with the racing appearance still looks quite good. It took them a lot of time to obtain this incredible final model, but it was totally worth it.

Under the hood it hides a 3.4-liter V8 engine capable of generating 610 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. To send the output to the wheels, the engineers have paired the engine with a Hewland transmission with a paddle shift. To ensure optimum road holding for the race car on BBS racing wheels, Carlsson offered a 3-way adjustable kW competition suspension. A complex safety cage has been installed in accordance with the regulations. The racing seats ensure optimum lateral support.
