Chrsler 200 S Special Edition in New York

In the next few rows we will try to present a new model developed by Chrysler in collaboration with Detroit-based clothing manufacturing Carhartt. To be more precise, we are talking about the 2013 Chrysler 200 S Special edition model. The starting price was established at $28.870. Under the hood, the new model hides a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine capable of generating 283 horsepower. Both for the interior and exterior, the carmaker has offered customization packages that offer a more aggressive look in comparison to the regular 200 models.

The S package, the 2013 Chrysler 200 S Special edition model receives more standard elements and customizing options, but also additional standard elements like perforated-wrapped steering wheel, premium leather seats, Boston Acoustic premium sound and a lot more. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have equipped the model with 18-inch aluminum wheels. In terms of exterior elements, the model comes with a new gloss black mesh grille with a platinum grille collar, platinum chrome spears just above the fog lights and last, but not least, a lower front fascia in platinum black. To complete the profile, the carmaker also offered body-color sill cladding, platinum chrome belt molding and semi-gloss black wheels. At the rear, the carmaker provided a diffuser with widened exhaust tips, a deck lid spoiler and platinum chrome light bar. The new model also comes with a sport suspension that completes its look.

For the interior, the engineers have provided black water-resistant fabric and signature Carhartt triple stitching accents in diesel gray on the seats, steering wheel, armrests and center console. The production of the 2013 Chrysler 200 S Special edition model will begin in the second quarter of this year and we will have the opportunity to see it for the first time closer at the 2013 New York International Auto Show, a bit later.
