Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept

Ram Trucks is a United States based brand of light to mid-weight pickup trucks established in 2010 as a division of Chrysler Group LLC, formerly known as the Dodge Truck Division. It is in direct competition with the trucks manufactured by Ford or Chevy, so future projects should be a priority for the brand in order to keep pace with competition.  Ram has just introduced the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept at Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit.

The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept has as a starting point the 2013 Ram 1500 R/T. What makes it special is the “Drone Yellow” paint, this being where its name derives. The two door 2WD setup car has, on both sides, a “Speed Bee” design with a black stripe that serves as a honeycomb. The truck rides on a set of 24-inch Vellano VRH alloy wheels and has a two-inch lowered suspension thanks to a King Suspension placed on it. Contrasting the yellow paint, the exhaust pipes, the fuel door, the badging or the front grille come coloured in glossy black.

On the inside, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept benefits of the same colour theme, where yellow and black combine in such a way that the passengers feel a special driving thrill. What is odd and special about the truck is than there is a real amber-encased bee mounted into the eight-speed rotary shifter knob which can expose a honeycomb pattern background once it receives light. The vehicle is powered  by a HEMI 5.7-liter engine linked to an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission outputting 395 bhp (294 kW) and a maximum torque of 407 lb-ft (551 Nm). So, the only remaining thing once the car enters production, is to buy one and become as hardworking as a bee.
