For the ones which are not so familiar with the model designations of the Citroen, you should know that that by adding the word Grand in front of the C4 Picasso, you get a bigger body. It is big enough to accommodate three rows of seats, thus being able to seat seven which is quite impressive. The carmaker has developed now a new one which has the same basic concept just like its predecessor. Even so, the specialists have wrapped it in a strange-style package which has a much cleaner and simpler-looking interior than before, but that has the same basic range in terms of engines. For the new C4 Picasso in particular, the big news is that the engineers have used a new EMP2 platform belonging to PSA which is capable of reducing the weight by 110 kg. In the same time, economy, performance and handling are all being improved.
The CO2 emission level reaches 98 g/km which is very strange, but good. It receives power from a 1.6-liter diesel unit that comes with an optional automated manual transmission called ETG6. This comes from Efficient Tronic Gearbox and chances are it is like the German normal boxes. So that you know, the new Citroen C4 Grand Picasso has a longer wheelbase and shorter front overhang, the track has been widened and the floor lowered. The engine range only appears to consist of diesel engines. The diesel unit is capable of generating 90 PS. There is also a BlueHDI 150 unit offered which despite the 2.0-liter displacement, it is capable of emitting 110 g/km. these are all the details we were able to find for the moment on the model, but stay tuned for more soon.
