We had the opportunity to see the concept version of the Citroen DS Wild Rubis before its official reveal at the 2013 edition of the Shanghai Auto Show later this month. The luxury SUV measures 4.70 meters in length, 1.95 meters in width and 1.59 meters in height. The wheelbase measures 2.9 meters. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 21-inch alloy wheels. The model completes the DS line with unique and inimitable style. Stimulating imagination and emotion, the concept breathes sophistication with an exceptional finish and great attention to detail.
The model was designed to be driven by the full-hybrid, plug-in technology and it is packed with technological innovations. Inside, the cabin seems to be versatile and suited to the needs of executive customers. The new Citroen DS Wild Rubis has the roof bars accentuating the impression of height. Its face is characterized by the three-dimensional radiator grille decorated with a DS emblem. The grille flows into unique full-LED headlights surrounded by scrolling indicator lights at the base. If you take a look in the gallery below, you can see the new arrangement of the lights at the rear that appears to be part of the raised tailgate.
The foot of the rear tailgate is highlighted by the chrome finish including the twin exhaust pipes. The most expensive features include the side chrome signature, the multitude of sculptured details in the metal, the front and rear light signatures and the finish of the materials. The color of the ruby red bodywork changes with the intensity of light with a rich tone. These are all the details available on the new Citroen DS Wild Rubis model, but stay tuned.
