Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker

Dodge might be called the national American car maker. The brand has quite a tradition behind and success didn’t miss from the picture. So, if the SEMA is currently on the run, why shouldn’t we meet Dodge branded vehicles on their own American ground, more specifically in Las Vegas? The brand decided to introduce the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker at the SEMA Auto Show. Let’s make an idea on the vehicle.

The Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker is inspired from the Challenger produced back in 1970. The road runner comes painted either in orange paint or in a white one, both being associated with some satin black accents. The special edition car features a body-color grille surround and a "shaker" hood. It also has a gloss black fuel-filler door and it sits on a set of 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car rubbers. Of course that the inside couldn’t have remained 100 percent retro, so the specialists at Dodge placed a flat-bottomed steering wheel, a “K-Black” painted instrument panel and an individually-numbered dash plaque. Nappa leather is also present on the sport seats and there is also an aluminum pistol-grip shifter.

The Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that works together with a Mopar cold-air intake, a conical air filter and optimized air box. The Challenger also received a sport-tuned suspension system, a "driver-selectable sport-mode powertrain calibration" and the Super Track Pak that contains a new steering gear, upgraded brake lines, monotube shock absorbers and a three-mode electronic stability control system. For all these a future owner will have to pay at least $36,995.
