Dodge Ram 1500 Outdoorsman

The 2013 model year Ram 1500 Outdoorsman will be introduced soon by Chrysler. Two years ago we had the opportunity to see it as a new model series of the Ram 1500. The model was developed to come in handy to hunters, fishermen, campers and boaters. Now, the Detroit carmaker Chrysler, is offering the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman edition in line with the rest of the 1500 range which was revealed this year in April at the Auto Show that took place in New York. For the 2013 model year, the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman is offered with a choice of two cab sizes, Quad and Crew. Also, the carmaker offers the opportunity to choose between two bed lengths, 5 ft. 7 inch and 6 ft. 4 inch respectively.

Under the hood, the model hides a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine capable of developing 395 horsepower, which means 5 horsepower more than the current model. All the output is being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission or through the all-new TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic one. The power is then been sent to the road through 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. The price for the new Chrysler Ram 1500 Outdoorsman was not revealed yet. In terms of equipment, the model features heavy-duty cooling, including mechanical / electrical fan and transmission cooler, for larger loads, limited-slip differential for improved off-road and towing performance, trailer-tow mirrors and extra heavy-duty rear shock absorbers. The list continues with front center seat cushion or console storage to help organize gear, power 10-way driver seat for comfort on long trips, remote start and security group adds alarm system and convenience of a comfortable cabin after a day in the field or in the water and standard front suspension and transfer case skid plates on 4x4 models that provide protection from off-road damage.
