Fiat 500 Abarth Tenebra Concept

Yes, it is true, so far the 500 family is not a brand yet, but we have to admit that its expansion progressed fast with 5-door minivan and crossovers. Even so, this does not mean the Italian partner of Chrysler completely forgot about the standard 3-door 500. In fact, after introducing the Fiat 500 Abarth capable of generating 160 horsepower and also the all-electric 500e at the Los Angeles Auto Show last autumn, the carmaker has decided to move forward and this is how they managed to present two new design concepts at the 2013 edition of the North American International Auto Show held in Detroit.

Last year Fiat managed to sell more than 50.000 units in the US. At the Auto Show, the Italians have proven the efficiency of their accessories and clever design elements and how these enhance the personality of their 500 models. Because they offer so many options each client can create its own Fiat 500.

We will now tell you about the new Fiat 500 Abarth Tenebra design concept, the most powerful version of the Italian mini. The new model comes with a matte gray exterior paint with black chrome accents, tail light and parking light bezels, and glossy black headlight and to send the output to the road, new black chrome Abarth 16-inch alloy wheels. We can all see the scorpion logo on the roof. Inside we can also find the black / grey contrast theme with the Abarth sport seats with racing-harness passes, the gear lever and the flat-bottomed steering wheel. The dashboard panel is made of real carbon fiber and has a matte finish. The Italian engineers have used the 2013 Sport and Turbo variants as inspiration for the Cattiva, the other concept mentioned above. The model has a shiny copper color for the body work and has contrasting black accents, just like the other one, the Tenebra. To transfer the output to the road, it uses 16-inch alloy wheels painted in dark grey with a satin finish.
