Everything started a few days ago. You are probably wondering what that is. Well, according to Italian carmaker Fiat, customers are now invited to place their orders for the new Fiat 500 hatchback and 500C cabriolet models. So far, the 500 models were only available with the 85 horsepower version of the 2-cylinder engine, but now, with the new version, we will be able to find a stronger version of the 0.9-liter TwinAir engine capable of generating 105 horsepower. Now, with the new addition, the model is able of accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.0 seconds and to reach a top speed of 188 km/h. in terms of fuel economy the car uses 4 liters per 100 km when it comes to the combined cycle and the CO2 emission rate can reach up to 99 g/km. To transfer all the output to the wheels, the engineers have offered a 6-speed manual transmission.
The carmaker also added several new options besides the 1.2-liter with 69 horsepower option and the 0.9-liter TwinAir gasoline units. We now have the opportunity to select a 1.3-liter MultiJet II diesel and the 1.2-liter EasyPower. There are several equipment grades that can be combined with the new engine, like, for instance the Lounge, S and GQ. Their prices are different and can go up from EUR16.181 for the 500 Lounge to EUR21.525 for the 500C GQ range-topping model. As available we also have the new 120 horsepower 1.6-liter MultiJet II diesel engine offered for the 500L, 500L Living and also for 500L Trekking models. The engine uses a 3rd generation Common Rail system which enables it to generate 320 Nm of torque.
