Ford keeps up the good work they are doing in order to improve their position on the global auto market. A move in this strategy is the introduction of the Ford EcoSport in Berlin, at IFA 2013. The small SUV is destined mostly for the United Kingdom and will be available as a special edition limited to 500 units overall. 120 of these will surely go straight on British land.
The Ford EcoSport limited edition promises a great environment for the driver and the other passengers as it is equipped with all kinds of great entertaining stuff. The vehicle benefits of Ford’s SYNC AppLink system that enables to voice control the smartphone applications. As a bonus for the soul, the future clients will also have free access for 12 months of unlimited audio book downloads courtesy of Audioteka. The vehicle rides on a set of 17 inch alloys and it features leather trim and some other interesting apps. An alarm, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ABS, ESP, EBA, a CD player with USB, all come as standard.
A British fellow will have to pay at least 16,955 GBP in order to get the Ford EcoSport in their hands. There are three options available when it comes to the engine configurations, the 125 HP (92 kW) 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, the 91 HP (67 kW) 1.5-liter diesel and the 1.5-litre petrol offering 112HP. Deliveries will begin in the spring of 2014. From then on we will have a good-looking, affordable and surprisingly spacious SUV on the road. It might have great success especially among younger drivers.
