American carmaker Ford developed the Ford Fiesta and offered it to the North American customers four years ago. Unfortunately, the model was not really successful, but it is still the 6th generation model that was launched in 2008 for the European customers. It is obvious to say it needs some new features, it needs to freshen up. The good news is that the carmaker prepared a facelift for this Ford Fiesta. Different prototypes were tested since the end of last year and this indicated an official debut is coming soon. Next we will offer you some information to make a better idea of how will the new 2013 Ford Fiesta will look like.
The modifications started with the inversion of the small upper grille and the huge lower one found on the 2008 model. After the touch of the carmaker, the 2013 Fiesta has a huge gaping face. To be more precise, this might mean that model will have a small performance increase across the engine range because it will breathe better. The American carmaker will also introduce active air vents with flaps that close. Why? Like on the Focus, these will increase aerodynamic efficiency.
Under the hood, the new facelift 2013 Ford Fiesta will have a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost and engine and SYNC system. We heard of these two for the first time on the B-MAX. There is the possibility the 1.0-liter turbo unit will be available in combination with the 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter engines. Actually, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost was developed to replace the two mentioned above to offer a cheaper base car to the budged customers. The Ford Fiesta sedan will be sold on the European market after being launched in China and America.
