Ford Figo Facelift

We all know the Ford Figo, right? Well, now, the American carmaker offered a facelift in South Africa. The new Figo is available with a choice of a 1.4-liter Duratec gasoline engine and a 1.4-liter turbo Duratorq diesel. To transfer the output to the wheels the engineers have offered a 5-speed transmission to both of them. In terms of output know that the gasoline unit is capable of generating 83 horsepower and 127 Nm of torque. This way the model will register a fuel consumption of 6.6 liters per 100 km. The CO2 emission level reaches 156 g / km. The 1.4-liter turbo Duratorq diesel produces 68 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque and it uses 5.3 liters of fuel per 100 km. The CO2 emission level touches 139 g / km.

The new Ford Figo is now more fun and in fashion thanks to the introduction of exterior design enhancements and added interior features. Some models are even equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. Two trim levels are available. The first one is the Ambient, the entry level option available in both petrol and diesel guise followed by the Trend which is available in petrol configuration. The lower grille has been revised and so were the head and tail lamps. The fog lamps on the other hand, look even more aggressive.

In terms of technology, the Ford Figo features an In Car Entertainment system which allows one to switch between radio, CD / MP3 or iPod easily. The new model offers a lot of interior space, making it look like a larger, more expensive vehicle. When it comes to safety elements, the engineers have provided dual front airbags, ABS wit EBD and Passive Anti-Theft System. The model comes with a 4 year / 120.000 km warranty and 5-year corrosion warranty. According to the carmaker the price lists remain unchanged.
