Ford Mustang has always been an icon of the American style and performance, embodying a list of smart features that integrated more technology. As Dave Pericak, Mustang chief engineer, stated, the new Mustang was the perfect example of continuing to build on excellence, taking the greatness of the 5.0-liter and V6 and pushing the refinement to an upper level. The eye-catching car model is scheduled to hit the car markets in spring 2012. Darrell Behmer, Mustang chief designer, also stated that they were delivering a more distinctive and emotional design presence that celebrated the total performance of Mustang and that latest Mustang design with a more powerful splitter, appeared to be as very respectful to its heritage, without compromising the new ideas of future and modernity. The more premium appearance of the car is enhanced by the rocker panels which run along the car, while a high-gloss black panel that connects the taillamps, updates the rear. Available for both V6 and GT cars, the standard high-density discharge headlamps are a new feature for Mustang. Due to the updated designs, the wheels also provide new touches and finishes in order to obtain a more powerful appearance. Casting the image of Mustang's famous pony emblem on the ground when the unlock button is activated, the new mirrors featuring pony injection light, are also part of the car's standard equipment. A new 4.2-inch LCD productivity screen that lets customers access information related to fuel economy and vehicle performance also makes its debut on Mustang. As far as seats are concerned, they are available with incorporated head restraints featuring ample room for drivers and passengers who wear helmets when they are on the track. A six-speed SelectShift AutomaticTM transmission can be specified with the new Mustang as it represents a significant improvement to the powertrain for it allows the driver to take control. Customers of the new 2013 Ford Mustang will undoubtedly enjoy two new audio systems that ensure better sound quality for incredible clarity and crispness.
