Hollywood Hot Rods is a full service Hot Rod builder, a classic car modification and restoration tuning shop. The company is built on a team approach, each and every member of the team having specialized talents and abilities. This enables HHR to be a step above the competition. By using this team effort to car building they can accomplish almost any challenge in the automotive build-up or restoration process. As they truly respect tradition, and there’s no other car with a history like the Ford Mustang’s, their latest project is based exactly on this roadster.
Hollywood Hot Rods focused intensely on working on the convertible version of the Ford Mustang. They will officially present their product at the 2013 SEMA Motor Show in Las Vegas. The work was not an easy one, because all the body parts that HHR developed are hand made from aluminum, and this also includes its lift-off roof. The tail section of the 2014 Mustang was totally redesigned. Building the rear of the updated car took the staff 150 hours. The Mustang also suffers some modifications at the front part. It is equipped with a new front grille, an air splitter, as well as a rear wing. All these parts are made from aluminum and the upgrading of the hard-top took HHR about 250 hours’ work.
The 2014 Ford Mustang Convertible is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine that generates 750hp and which has received a Ford Racing Whipple supercharger and a Banks Power water-methanol injection system. The engine is also encouraged by the side exhaust system, the Cortex Racing, X-treme grip track suspension, rear Watts linkage and torque arm, JRI coilover dampers and StopTech six-piston brakes. There is also an upgraded suspension system. On the whole, the Mustang project coming from HHR looks quite good and it’s worth all the work invested in it.
