Since its constitution in 1903, Ford Motor has been a company whose automobiles changed the same rhythm as the world moved. The company is present in the entire world, becoming a global organization and an unmistakable brand. But before anything else it is a true American company, with a true American patriotism and this lead to the birth of the 2014 Ford Mustang U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition.
The 2014 Ford Mustang U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition comes for now in just one unit which will be auctioned at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on August 1st. Ford specially created this Mustang special edition to celebrate the anniversary number 60 of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. As expected, the vehicle features and exterior that wears red, white and blue and which remind people of the Thunderbirds’ F-16 Falcons. There are other elements that remind us of them, such as a wide body kit, a glass roof, a set of 22 inch Forgiato wheels and a painted belly pan.
There are no pictures with the interior of the 2014 Ford Mustang U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition. However, Ford states that the car is equipped with Recaro seats, special sill plates and a new instrument cluster. The navigation system has been updated. The American auto company has also placed a supercharger, a sport-tuned suspension and Brembo brakes on the car. The money raised from the auction will be used for a program that targets to motivate the young generation of leaders, aviators and innovators.
