Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake

A few years ago, in 2007 to be more precise, American carmaker Ford launched for the first time the GT500 Super Snake. Back then, its 5.4-liter force-fed V8 engine was capable of developing some incredible 600 horsepower. Half a decade later, the new 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 is now capable of generating 662 horsepower. The Americans also introduced a Super Snake capable of producing 800 horsepower and the incredible Shelby 1.000. Their last achievement is the Super Snake which delivers 850 horsepower. Of course, not everyone prefers this amount of power and for them the carmakers offers the possibility of choosing the supercharger upgrade and keep their 662 horses. But not all it is about power.

The new 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake also features upgraded front and rear brakes, sport suspension, Borla exhaust, a bigger cooling package and to transfer the power to the road, the engineers have offered Shelby-designed 20-inch wheels. This is not all. The carmaker also provides the signature stripes, a wide body kit offered as optional that allows for wider wheels and tires and last, but not least fiberglass hood.

If you are one of the ones interested in purchasing on of these little babies, well then, you should know you will have to take out of your pocket at least $28.995, without including the base GT500. You can also get the power upgraded version of the GT500 which enables the model to produce 850 horsepower. The 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake will be revealed for the first time at the upcoming Barret-Jackson collector car auction in Las Vegas starting the 27th of this month. There is an option on their official web site that allows everyone to build their own dream car. This is all so far folks.
