Holden VF Commodore by Walkinshaw Performance

It’s not every day that we hear about tuning programs for Holden vehicles. But the tuning world is continuously changing and advancing and there are companies that specialize on certain brands. One of them is the Walkinshaw Performance, a firm that is faithful to tuning Commodore and HSV models. Their name is synonymous with success both on and off the track. Victory only comes through rigorous evaluation, planning, preparation and excellence is all aspects of any process. This guides the Walkinshaw team. They guys have created their first supercharger packages for the Holden VF Commodore and the HSV Gen-F lineup.

What Walkinshaw Performance does it to equip the Holden VF Commodore and the HSV Gen-F with an Eaton supercharger, an intercooler and a custom cold air intake. They also receive high-flow fuel injectors, a stainless steel sports exhaust system and cast aluminum coil covers. The upgraded vehicles feature a heavy-duty serpentine belt drive system, a self-contained oiling system and ceramic coated headers. The entire package is named the W457.

The Walkinshaw Performance superchargers enable the 6.0-liter V8 engine to produce 621 HP (457 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque for the Commodore, and the 6.2-liter V8 of the HSV Gen-F to develop 675 HP (497 kW) and 955 Nm (704 lb-ft) of torque. The Supercharged W457 and W497 packages are available now priced at $18,990 (fitted) and are applicable to any VF 6.0ltr V8 Commodore or LS3 engined Gen-F HSV sedan, wagon or ute.
