Founded in 1963, Automobili Lamborghini, the company headquartered in Sant’Agata Bolognese, in Northeastern Italy, celebrates 50 years of existence. Along these years they have been manufacturing the most wanted and innovative cars. And since the anniversary needs to be greatly celebrated, Lamborghini decided to mark the moment through revealing its fastest car ever built, Lamborghini Veneno, in Geneva Motor Show this week.
While other car makers made available most of the information regarding the models they are about to present in Geneva, Lamborghini preferred to keep secret its novelties. Design director Filippo Perini told that the Veneno "will be the fastest car Lamborghini has ever produced". The little information we possess tell us that the supercar will be made in just three units, and all of them have already been sold by this time.
The Sunday Times makes a prediction about the price. The newspaper supposes the cost will be 3.1M GBP (3.57M EUR or 4.65M USD). The supercar will be able to reach the maximum speed of 220 mph (354 km/h), mostly because its equipment. That is a V12 6.5-liter engine that produces 740 hp (552 kW) and the seven-speed ISR robotized manual gearbox which is connected to the engine.
The images show us a radical style of the Lamborghini Veneno. The rear wing seems to be quite big. There are some carbon fiber elements, a roof scoop, sweptback highlights and massive wheels. Since the information is not enough for the Lamborghini lovers, all they need to do is wait for the start of Geneva Motor Show.
