Land Rover has prepared the Freelander 2 for the Moscow Motor Show that will take place next week. The improved model was equipped with different exterior elements, but also with some interior ones too. Two years ago, the carmaker modified the Freelander by offering a new tailgate and grille, but also developed the eD4 2WD version and presented it. The specialists have offered the xenon LED treatment for the headlights and taillights. The front lamps, on the other hand have a different graphic. The grille and the fog lights were offered with a brighter chrome trim. The ones interested in purchasing one of the models should know there are three new colors available for the exterior.

When it comes to the interior, the engineers offer a completely new center console and a 5-inch screen situated in the center of the instrument cluster. Land Rover specialists also offer new technologies like keyless start, a rear-view camera and a voice activation system for the ones that are fonder on technology. The Land Rover Freelander 2 features the premium Meridian audio system that was first introduced on the Evoque. It is available in two forms; as an 11-speaker 380W system and as a 17-speaker 825W configuration.

In terms of power plant, the Land Rover Freelander 2 uses the same engine lineup and includes three 4-cylinder 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engines. To be more precise, the ones involved are the TD4 capable of developing 184 horsepower, the SD4 capable of producing 187 horsepower and last, but not least, the eD4 capable of offering 148 horsepower, which is only available for the 2WD version equipped with a manual transmission to send the power to the wheels. The entry-level model has a starting price of GBP23.700 and it is expected to be available for purchase starting October, for the British customers.
