The new generation of Range Rover has recently been revealed to the public and it looks pretty damn good. In the last four decades since the first generation model was introduced, the area where the remarkable British vehicle is used has evolved. Today, the luxury SUV from the traditional English brand name is found in off-road environments, on city streets and in shopping areas, too. Tuning companies often choose to develop projects based on the Range Rover. Coming straight from Russia, Larte Design introduces their upgraded Range Rover Evoque.
It’s not every day that we hear about Russian tuners so comes as a surprise that the Larte Design tuning company decided to work on the British Range Rover and more than that they are introducing it at the Essen Motor Show, exactly on German land, the place with the greatest tuning companies in the world. Taking a look at the SUV, a critical eye can easily notice that it has been brought closer to ground. By placing a new suspension system, Larte Design lowered the vehicle by 30mm. Besides this, the car is now equipped with a new body kit containing a honeycomb front grille and huge air intakes in the front apron. We can also see an updated rear apron and a centrally-mounted triple exhaust arrangement probably inspired from the Ferrari 458 Italia. The Evoque now sits on a set of glossy black 21 inch lightweight alloy wheels.
The stock Range Rover Evoque is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine that outputs 190 HP (140 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. After Larte Design did some tricks on the engine, it now produces 220 HP (162 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. Larte has discreetly moved the vehicle in the direction of a cool street racer, which also finds its expression in the black-and-red paintwork so it’s no wonder that it is one of the fans’ favourite tuning SUVs.
