Japanese carmaker Lexus revealed precious information on the revamped 2013 Lexus LS sedan. Actually they have announced the price list for the model on the British market. It seems that the ones interested in purchasing one of these bad boys can already place their orders. First deliveries are scheduled to start in January 2013. To be more precise, the starting price for the LS 460 Luxury model was established at GBP71.495. Now, the newly introduced LS 460 F Sport trim level can be bought for GBP74.495 and last, but not least we have the full hybrid, long wheelbase LS 660h L Premier Grade which has a starting price of GBP99.495.
The first one seems to be on the market because of the requests received from UK customers. It receives power from a 4.6-liter V8 petrol engine capable of generating 382 BHP. All the output is being sent to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Lexus LS 600h is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that together with a pair of electric motors develop a combine output of 439 BHP. The Lexus LS Luxury will be available with 18-inch alloy wheels and will feature automatic bi-xenon headlamps, LED daytime running lights, a 12.3-inch central display for the infotainment system, but also a 19-speaker Mark Levinson audio system with DVD player.
The Lexus LS F Sport variant uses 19-inch alloy wheels to send the power to the road and it features Brembo brakes to handle the extra power, a lateral damping system, bespoke exterior and interior styling kits, but also a Torsen limited slip differential. Apparently, the Premier features more comfort elements than any other Lexus. Apparently it has the first climate concierge system in the world that uses infra-red sensors which are capable of monitoring the facial temperature of each passenger of the car and then it adjusts the air con. We have to admit, the specialists have really done a good job.
