Back in 1998, Japanese carmaker Lexus introduced for the first time the RX. The new crossover variant uses as platform the same one used on the ES sedan. The 5-door model is very comfortable and it offers passengers a very luxurious ride. After only a few years on the market, the carmaker managed to sell more than 100.000 units each year. Lexus offers a facelift variant of their 2013 RX. As the carmaker knows the majority of the buyers are females, they have decided to offer a touch of masculinity. This is how the 2013 Lexus RX 350 F Sport was born. Back in March, the model was introduced for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show.
The improved model features a unique front bumper and it sends the power to the road through 19-inch alloy wheels finished in dark graphite. For the interior of the 2013 Lexus RX 350 F Sport, the carmaker has prepared black leather-trimmed seats, aluminum pedals and black headliner. The carmaker has established the price for the 2013 Lexus RX 350 at $39.310 and for the 2013 Lexus RX 350 F Sport, the price starts at $47.000. Both prices exclude the $895 destination charge. The facelift version of the RX features Premium and Comfort packages offered as standard equipment. Under the hood, the model features a 3.5-lter V6 engine capable of developing 270 horsepower and 248 lb. ft. of torque. To send the power to the wheels, Lexus equipped the model with electronically controlled Active Torque Control all-wheel drive system which actually uses an electronically controlled coupling. The output enables the new 2013 Lexus RX 350 F Sport to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds and to reach an electronically limited top speed of 112 mph. The carmaker expects to sell the model now to men as well.
