Lotus is a name with history in the world of cars. The company has always raised standards to upper levels. The brand’s sixty years of history and innovation were the key of success on the road but on the track too. At the present, Lotus is an expert in lightweight architecture and this allowed it to become a leader in green vehicle technology. The Lotus Exige S Roadster, the last of their productions, has been officially presented at Geneva and it will be available for sale starting this summer.
Lotus has just made public some details about their Lotus Exige S Roadster. It is a powerful sports car with a design that reminds of its coupe relative. The vehicle received an aggressive front fascia and some LED headlights to be in trend with the other brands. It rides on a set of 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels that wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa rubbers.
A mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 engine will be powering the Lotus Exige S Roadster. The engine has a Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger incorporated. The 350 HP (257 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque provided by the engine allow the super car to sprint from stand point to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. The 1166 kg (2570 lb) car has been electronically limited to 233 km/h (145 mph). The super car is priced at £52,900 (including VAT) in the U.K. and €55,378 (excluding taxes) in the E.U. It is a pretty awesome car and it will surely have a lot of fans.
