At the 2013 edition of the Shanghai Auto Show, Maserati managed to present one of their latest achievements, which is the new Maserati Ghibli which has been introduced on the North American market next, during the 213 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show. As you can see in the photo gallery, the new model comes with four dos, so this is actually the first ever Maserati line up to have two four-door sedan models at the same time.
On the North American market, the model will be offered with a choice of two3.0liter V6 twin-turbocharged gasoline engines. Then, to transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered an automatic 8-speed transmission to control the rear wheels or Q4 all-wheel drive. The new Ghibli S comes with a more powerful engine capable of generating 404 horsepower and 406 lb. ft. of torque. Thanks to the output, he Ghibli S is now capable of generating from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.7 seconds and to reach a top speed of 175 mph.
The base version the model comes with an engine that enables the car to produce 345 horsepower and 369 lb. ft. of torque which will enable the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. So that you know, both engines come with parallel turbochargers and the Italian engineers have also collaborated with Ferrari Power trains. Both units are being produced by Ferrari in Maranello. There are no details on the price of the Ghibli which will be found on the North American market. The manufacturer has also developed the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition concept that comes with a very special colour scheme, but more are to be released soon.
