In case you were wondering about the performance version of the Mazda3 MPS, know that the modifications were minor and can be hardly noticed. Actually, the only ones are the new graphics on the tail lamps, a gunmetal finish and a black Mica finish for the inner roof spoiler. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 18-inch alloy wheels. The list continues with lower rear bumper trim and door mirror housings.
The new Mazda3 continues to receive power from the same 2.3-liter turbocharged four, capable of producing 256 BHP. The output is being transferred to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. This features now wider spaced gear ratios and a Limited Slip Differential. All this power enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds and to reach a top speed of 155 mph. The carmaker established a starting price of GBP 23.995 for the Mazda3 MPS. Customers will have the opportunity to choose between four exterior colors called Black Mica, Aluminum Silver, Velocity Red and Crystal White Pearl-scent.
The good thing about them is that they are all offered for free. The range will also include another two models that will join the Mazda3. The carmaker said their names are Tamura and Venture. Both will receive power from a 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines. The Tamura will be equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, electric windows, 6-speaker audio system, front fog lights, dual zone climate control air-conditioning, front, side and curtain airbags, but also a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm. To transfer its output to the road, the specialists will equip it with 17-inch alloy wheels. The other one, the Mazda Venture, will come with automatic lights and wipers, cruise control, heated front sports seats, a unique rear spoiler, privacy glass, Bluetooth hands-free and a lot more.
