As we announced a few ago, British carmaker McLaren will introduce a new model, we are actually referring to the production version of the McLaren P1. The specialists will present it for the first time at the 2013 edition of the Motors Show that will take place in Geneva. This will actually be the 83rd edition of the International Motor Show and the new McLaren P1 was confirmed to be ready to race. The exact moment of the presentation is on the 5th of March at 11.15 CET, during the McLaren Automotive press conference. If you take a look in the gallery below you will have the opportunity to see some of the first pictures presenting the interior of this incredible new car. Actually, the latest insight confirms that the McLaren P1 will adopt a race-inspired digital dash readout, and gives further information relating to the levels of performance that can be expected with this new, very concentrated Race mode.
The visual aids will actually help all P1 drivers see the process of transformation from a relatively normal car into a fully-focused track car. The driver can also select Race mode. What happens when he does that? Well, the large double element adjustable active rear wing extends, and the pitch of the wing alters into an optimal aerodynamic position. In this mode, the model also has a screen that includes a bank of lights across the top, which illuminate green, followed by red and finally blue. You might find this process similar to the one from the Formula 1 as it acts like a shift indicator.
We have to admit the specialists have done a really good job with the new McLaren P1. More information on the new model and on the race mode will be revealed as we get closer to the 2013 edition of the Geneva Motor Show.
