6x6 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG

Mercedes- Benz is a name that can very easily surprise car lovers. And it sure surprised everybody with its crazy 6x6 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. The awkward three-axle G-Class will be approximately three times more expensive than the regular G63 AMG. It will become the second most pricy Mercedes-Benz model after the SLS Electric Drive (416,500 EUR). It is expected to go on sale this October starting with a small series production of about 20- 30 units each year.

The vehicle produces 544 horsepower, taken to all of its six wheels through a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine. An AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC gearbox transfers power to the ground thanks to three sets of portal axles, which helps give its highness a full 15.75 inches of ground clearance. It runs on huge 37 inch wheels. The car has as a basis the G320 CDI developed for the Australian army and it is 5867mm (231.3 inches) long, 2111mm (83.1 inches) wide and 2209mm (87 inches) tall.

With this insane 6x6 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG adventure starts where other conventional off-road cars have stopped. The highest sand dunes, the rockiest terrain or the trickiest rivers are piece of cake for this impressive body.
