Mercedes ML500

German carmaker Mercedes-Benz unveiled an improved version of their 2012 ML500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY. This model offers more equipment and of course increased performance to its SUV model range. Apparently this Mercedes ML500 is the most powerful version of the SUV without taking into consideration the AMG version. Under the hood it hides a 4.7-liter V8 engine capable of developing 408 horsepower and an incredible 600 Nm of torque. All this amount of power enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in only 5.6 seconds and to reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

After the modifications the model is capable of achieving a combined fuel economy of 11-liter / 100 km and a 258 g/km CO2 emission level. The carmaker managed to obtain this amount of power with the help of two Turbos, one for each row of cylinders, piezo injectors combined with multi-spark ignition and with a third-generation direct fuel injection system with spray-guided combustion. All the output is being sent to the wheels through a 7-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission.

The model has as standard the COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST (CPA) that features adaptive Brake Assist and it send the power to the road through 19-inch alloy wheels. This is not all the Mercedes ML500 is equipped with, but it features a lot of different elements and systems that are not very strange for the German carmaker. In this category we have the Active Parking Assist, a new TFT display used for the on-board computer, the COMAND system and last, but not least, a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound sound system. These are just some of the features the automaker offered. The suggested price for the new ML500 starts at EUR75.029.50 and orders start today. It will be available for purchase from dealerships before the end of this year.
