Mercedes S-Class by Lorinser

The Essen Motor Show was, for a couple of days, the place where a car lover could find everything he needed to equip his car with new parts and accessories. Tuners found rims, exhaust pipes, paint and films. Motor sport fans could meet their idols. They also got the associated equipment, racing car, suit and helmet too.  Lorinser was one of the tuners that presented their latest product at the Essen Motor Show. And we are talking here about a Mercedes S-Class.

Lorinser Sports Service can look back on 30 years of experience in tuning automobiles made by Mercedes Benz. The sports service originated in the making of engines. However, this branch of the business had quickly developed into the customization of vehicles using visual attachments capable of setting future trends. Despite this, their project on the Mercedes S-Class seems rather controversial. The vehicle received an aerodynamic body kit that contains updated bumpers, a revised grille and quite many carbon fiber flaps. A sport exhaust system and a new set of alloys come to complete the picture.

Lorinser also made a few modifications that allow the Mercedes S-Class to gain more power. The 4.6-liter V8 engine can be upgraded to develop 530 HP (390 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, signifying an increase of 75 HP (55 kW) and 100 Nm (73 lb-ft) of torque. Performance specifications are not available yet. The stock model can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reach an electronically-limited maximum speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). So the Lorinser vehicle will certainly be more fearsome.
