German carmaker Mercedes-Benz revealed their new 2012 Formula 1 car at the Circuit de Catalunya that took place in Spain and not only. At the same event, the Germans also launched the 2013 model year, SL63 AMG that arrived at the pit lane driven by Michael Schumacher. The chassis of the new model is built of aluminum and magnesium the engineers used, because even if it?s lighter, it is also stiffer. In comparison with its predecessor, the new SL63 has a more muscular body kit that features wider sills and a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, four exhaust pipes and custom designed LED daytime running lights. The model is powered by a tin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine developed by Mercedes just like the one used for the 2012 ML63. The total output produced indicates 529 BHP and in terms of efficiency, you should know it is 30% more fuel efficient than the previous generation.
