Mercedes-Benz GLK

The Mercedes-Benz GLK can be used for everything the owner needs. For example, the latest GLK 350 4Matic features a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable f developing 302 horsepower and 273 lb. ft. of torque. The carmaker offers 20-inch wheels as an option and brakes are 13-inch discs for the front axle and 11.8-inch units for the rear one. On the outside it features new headlamps, a new grille and new lower fascia. Mercedes also offers either 4Matic or rear-wheels-drive. All the power is being sent to the wheels through a 7G Tronic Plus 7-speed automatic. Because of its attractive exterior and interior, the carmaker hopes to see an increase in the sales department until 2013, especially now that they have developed the GLK 250 BlueTEC 4Matic turbo-diesel. This model is powered by a 2.1-liter engine that actually produces 201 horsepower and 369 lb. ft. of torque. This car is available with seven engine and output options and it will go on sale in July in Europe and in North America in September. Six of them are CDI diesel engines. On the inside it has fewer buttons, but a wider set of comfort and technology options. The steering wheel has a more truck-like angle which helps greatly with comfort when it comes to long trips. The GLC 350 with all its features has a starting price of $37.000 and the 250 BlueTEC, $43.000. The carmaker did a very good job with all its new models and will continue to do so in the future. The improvements mentioned above are actually simple solutions found over the outgoing original model. The diesel engine is an important step and also a brave one when it comes to set the GLK apart and it is quite soon to tell if it works or not.
