This year at the 2013 edition of the Shanghai Auto Show, the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture has unveiled the Viwa Concept, a new electric vehicle concept, under the VENUCIA brand. The new model represents the vision of future electric mobility of the VENUCIA brand. The model will be equipped with the most advanced and reliable EV technologies for the Chinese market based on the globally proven technologies of Nissan. It is come with different packages and a compact body for easy driving. The company will sell it as a car for daily use which consumers can enjoy while contributing to a more sustainable society. In order to protect the environment, the carmaker will continue their efforts to improve fuel economy or their gasoline engines and promote the commercialization of new energy vehicles. The first mass-produced electric vehicle, the e30, has been unveiled for the first time at the China International Automobile Exhibition last November. Along with the zero emission vehicles, VENUCIA also revealed the MY2013 D50 sedan and the R50 hatchback. Now, the new vehicles offer improved fuel economy of 0.6 liters per 100 km with the addition of a rear spoiler and through engine refinement. Last year in April, VENUCIA has achieved a total of 70.000 sales since the launce of the first models, the D50.

Nissan is operating with more than 248.000 employees globally and provides customers with more than 4 million vehicles in 2011. It managed to generate revenue of 9.4 trillion yen, which means $118.95 billion. It is one of the companies that have managed to make history in zero-emission mobility with the introduction of the Leaf, the first affordable, mass-market, pure-electric vehicle that managed to win a lot of international awards.
