Japanese carmaker Nissan has introduced the European version of the Note. According to the manufacturer, the new model is scheduled to be officially presented to the public in a few weeks at the 2013 edition of the Geneva Motor Show. The new Nissan Note is capable to set standard for advanced, relevant technology in an affordable small car package. The model was developed to meet the expectations of the B Segment customers and so has benefited from extensive European development and tailored especially for the European customers. The ones that will decide to own a Nissan Note will benefit from a raft of innovative features relevant and useful for the everyday living.
The engineers have provided the Safety Shield, a package of technologies that would previously only have been available on more costly premium sector models. To be more precise, we are here talking about a Blind Spot Warning system, Lane Departure Warning and an advanced Moving Object Detection system. All these combine their power to deliver a new level of driver assistance for this class. The Safety Shield has a lot of benefits. The most important one of them is that it reduces accident exposure, but also, the driver feels safer and even more secure while in the car. If you are one of the ones interesting in owning one of these Nissan Note models, know that it is the first car in the B-Segment to offer Around View Monitor which makes parking maneuvers simpler and helps owners reduce the risk of costly body damage. The model will go on sale before the end of this year in Europe.
Four engines and transmission options will be available and the CO2 emissions will start from as low as 95 g/km. The intelligent stop-start ignition system is fitted to all models, boosting efficiency and minimizing CO2 emissions. The entry-level 1.2-liter produces 80 Ps and 110 Nm of torque and next we have the 1.2-liter DIG-S engine capable of producing 98 Ps and 142 Nm of torque. We also have a 1.5-liter turbo diesel capable of generating 90 PS. More info will be released soon on the matter.
