We will now turn our attention towards a new model manufactured by the Japanese carmaker Nissan. We are actually thinking about the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. One automotive enthusiast has driven the new model for quite some miles now and has offered to give us some of his experiences. Thanks to the weather conditions, the driver had the opportunity to test the all-weather capabilities of the all-wheel-drive Pathfinder. The snow did not make it any easier, but it was all alright. The first real test was a very unpleasant one, but because of personal reasons. Driving to the western edge of Wisconsin the trip from Ann Arbor, Mi to Platteville, Wi was 450 miles door-to-door and it is also bisected by one of the most snowbound stretches of highway in the country. This is actually a brutal travel in case some snow comes along.
As expected, the man had encountered a lot of snowstorms, slick, icy roads and lots of driving with poor visibility. In these types of situations, it is always good to have an all-wheel drive car under you. The travel was a difficult one, but he has managed to continue his trip along with the fastest traffic that the conditions would allow. Despite all this, the driver could not complain on back pains as the new Nissan Pathfinder has very comfortable seats. There was not a lot the model could do, but even so, the travel continued. For the full trip, the driver recorded 21.2 miles per gallon and this is lower than the EPA highway rating of 25 miles per gallon. The model uses a CVT transmission that is also responsible with the fuel economy. The snow trip was in the end a success. We trust the next driver will end his experience with the same satisfaction.
