For most of the people, the automobile represents a degree of freedom, an expression of personality and the symbol of an individual lifestyle. Sportiness, elegance, avant-gardism or refined luxury, are criteria which large-scale manufacturers are ill equipped to meet. That is where Irmscher's after-market equipment and special series come in. The tuning company usually works on Opel cars, as the brand is its main partner and their recent work is based on the facelift Opel Insignia. The package will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, this September.
The facelift Opel Insignia can receive some additional elements destined to offer it more personality. The car can be equipped with a front spoiler and an updated honeycomb-optic designed grille. Some extended side skirts can also be added. The vehicle can receive a rear diffuser, a tailpipe stainless steel sports exhaust system a new set of 20 inch alloy wheels.
Irmscher doesn’t stop at the exterior of the Opel Insignia. It also does some upgrading to the engine. They chose to develop a package for the 2.0 liter CDTI engine that generates 120 HP (88 kW) and 140 HP (103 kW) of torque when it comes out the factory gates. Admiring looks, better road handling and optimum performance are mixed together by Irmscher to make the Insignia even more fun.
