Opel Insignia Country Tourer

Opel carmaker will introduce a new model which will be revealed this year in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model we are talking about is the Insignia Country Tourer which expresses an innate desire for adventure as it provides freedom in the city. The special features offered include protective under-body front and rear guards, combined with prominent wheel-arch and lower body cladding and also dual exhaust tailpipes. The model is easy to handle thanks to the all-wheel drive system, in all conditions.

Under the hood it hides a 2.0-liter SIDI direct injection gasoline engine capable of generating 250 horsepower. There is also a high-performance 2.0-liter BiTurbo CDTI which is both capable of generating maximum 400 Nm of torque. The new system includes a high-quality clutch, operating on Haldex principles and electronic limited-slip differential to ensure superb traction on both paved and unpaved surfaces. For example, in combination with the electronically controlled FlexRide premium chassis, the all-wheel drive system sets standards in terms of reaction time and vehicle control. The Insignia Country Tourer can even provide propulsion when three wheels are on loose or slippery ground and only rear wheel has traction. The output of Opel Insignia Country Tourer is being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
