Specialists from Peugeot have announced plans to offer the change to one lucky person to ride in the new Onyx concept shotgun, which is quite weird, but interesting in the same time. Beside this experience, the carmaker also offers two tickets for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Actually this is the first public demonstration of Onyx at this automotive event, now in its 20th anniversary year. One of the prizes, the ride experience, is open to anyone over 18-years for Saturday, the 13th of July.
The ones that want to enter in this free competition will have to go to http://www.peugeot.co.uk/goodwood-onyx-competition/ to leave their contact details. The draw will take place on the 1st of July. All terms and conditions, but also all details can be viewed on the website. The new concept car breaks the traditional mould with great authenticity, innovative use of materials in its construction and performance to impress. Under the carbon fiber shell hides a 3.7-liter V8 HDi FAP diesel-electric hybrid engine which has been developed thanks to the engineers from Peugeot Sport and their experience gained from racetracks along the years. The V8 engine is capable of generating 600 BHP which are being sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential transmission.
The engineers have also offered the Intelligent Hybrid4 technology that recovers kinetic energy stores in lithium-ion batteries so that they can be redeployed to enhance acceleration. The Onyx will be able to achieve high performance without altering the purity and elegance of its exterior style which has been fashioned by hand by a master craftsman. This year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the carmaker will manage to impress a lot of visitors and we see a bright future for their cars. This is all on the matter for the moment and do not forget to enter the competition online.
