We are now getting ready to see a new achievement Peugeot managed to reach. We are in fact talking about the new RCZ R sports coupe. According to the carmaker, the model will have a starting price of GBP31.995, which is a bit understandable if you take a quick look in the photo gallery we have prepared for you. In case you are one of the interested ones in the new model, please know that it will be available for order starting with next week. First customers will receive their cars starting with the 2nd of January next year, so in just a few months.
We had the opportunity to see it for the first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this summer in July. It was presented in an official way at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September. So that you know, the RCZ R is in fact more powerful and a bit lighter in comparison to the RCZ THP capable of generating 200 BHP that is at the base of it. The model receives power from a 1.6-liter THP turbocharged petrol engine capable of generating 270 BHP. To transfer the output to the wheels the engineers have offered a 6-speed manual transmission, uprated clutch and also a new Torsen differential help providing additional grip to the front wheels.
The engineers have also done a really great job updating other parts of the car to more than 200 BHP THP. Here we have to include damper settings, the exhaust wider front and rear tracks. The stiffness was also increased in the springs and anti-roll bar. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have also offered 19-inch alloy wheels covered in Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 235/40 R19 tires. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.9 seconds and to reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
