Porsche 911 GT3 R

Porsche is a unique company with strong ideals for which building sports cars has become an art. Based on their 997 model, Porsche has just updated and revealed the 911 GT3 R.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 R has suffered some important changes. The German company has equipped this version with a new aerodynamic package which is supposed to create more downforce which will raise cornering speeds. The front bumper panels, all fenders, the sill covers, the rear panel and underbody with rear diffuser received fine-tuning in the wind tunnel. The rear wing was enlarged to the width of the vehicle and repositioned to work optimally with the redesigned body. The old set of wheels has been replaced with a new one consisting of wider tires that improve traction.

Porsche also worked on the suspension of the new 911 GT3 R. The track of the front and rear axles grew by 50 mm and the wheelbase grew too, by 10 mm. The width of the front rims is now 12 inches not 10.9 inches as it used to be. The heart of the car was kept the same 4.0 six-cylinder flat engine which can produce 368 kW (500 hp) linked to a 6-speed sequential dog-type gearbox with pneumatic shift system operated through shift paddles set on the steering-wheel.
The older versions of the 911 can be equipped with this tuning pack for 45,500 EUR, taxes non included.
