Porsche 911 RSR

Porsche is characterized by strong ideals and building sports cars has become an art that makes them a unique, trustful company. Fifty years ago, the German company has launched a concept that was Porsche 911. Between then and now, tradition mingled with modernism and the concept has set high standards and thrilled every generation of sports car fans. To celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary, the 2014 Porsche 911 RSR has been created.

Porsche 911 RSR is the most concentrated form of the already famous classic sports car that the Germans have ever produced. It signifies the quintessence of a success story.  Created to compete in the World Endurance Championship, the RSR is based on the seventh generation 911. The vehicle offers different carbon fiber elements including the doors, dashboard, center console and rear wing. The designers from Porsche also used polycarbonate windows and a lithium-ion battery. All these were done to make the model as light as possible.

Porsche 911 RSR takes its power resources from a 6-cylinder, 4.0-liter boxer engine capable of producing 460 HP (338 kW). It is connected to a new 6-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. The RSR becomes this way a great celebration present from Porsche to all its fans and possible clients.
