Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Flatnose III

Gemballa is a German company specialized in tuning and the latest challenge they wanted to fulfill was the reinvention of a Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. The snapshots offer us the image of an amazing free spirited sport car, especially because it is a cabriolet and getting a Flatnose "surgery" is a quite odd thing for this type of cars.

Every car producer, every tuning specialist tries to adapt to nowadays needs. And one of these necessities is to make a car more aerodynamic. So this need is the one which gave birth to the idea of retrofitting flat noses to the front of the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, retaining enough downforce to prevent the car from becoming too light at the front-end. The car got its looks in the early 80’s because the experts observed the good things a front nose could offer to the famous 911 chassis.

Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Flatnose III has an interior suited with the exterior. They are both governed by white. The white leather seats, the Gemballa embroided on the steering wheel and the white dials surrounded by black shades are a perfect match with the exterior white paint.
Besides the aerodynamics, Gemballa focused on the weight reduction, too. The fiberglass flat front nose and the brake cooling side ducts make this car to considerably reduce its weight. But the car still need to be kept on the road. That is why options such as a strengthened rear wing have been added.
