Porsche Boxster

Porsche revealed the third generation Porsche Boxster at the Geneva Motor Show this week. The model offered a new revised chassis that has a longer wheelbase, a wider track and larger wheels. The carmaker modified the exterior as well and it is full of character now. It uses a direct injection flat-six engine, a more fuel-efficient one in comparison with the previous ones, maybe because of the new technologies used. Under the hood, in the base Boxster there is a 2.7-liter engine capable of developing 265 horsepower and the Boxster S gets a bigger 3.4-liter engine that is capable of developing 315 horsepower. All the output is being sent to the wheels through a six-speed gearbox and the carmaker also offers as option the seven-speed PDK double clutch transmission. All the power enables the car to reach 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds in the case of the Boxster and in 5.0 seconds when it comes to the Boxster S. The two will be launched in Germany in April this year and the prices start at EUR48.291 and EUR59.120. The US customers will have to pay $49.500 and $60.900 respectively.
